A lifelong spiritual explorer and a student of the esoteric mysteries, occult sciences and the Ageless Wisdom, Tim Wyatt has spent five decades working as a journalist in all sections of the broadcast, print and online media. A dedicated student of consciousness research, he is the founder of the Leeds-based School of Applied Wisdom |
As its name suggests The School of Applied Wisdom focuses on understanding practical aspects of the Ageless Wisdom, identifying how we can use key ideas and cosmic laws in our everyday lives. Each session examines how esoteric theory can be applied successfully to virtually all aspects of modern human activity. The school runs interactive workshop sessions for those interested in gaining a greater depth of understanding about themselves and the wider cosmos.
Tim travels extensively giving talks, seminars and workshops on occult topics to the Theosophical Society in England and many other groups.
Despite or perhaps even because of, having no recognised academic qualifications whatsoever, he has won awards for his plays and television documentaries. Tim is also the author of numerous novels, short stories, articles, non-fiction works and poetry. He is the founder of several publishing companies and two record labels.
His other diversely chequered roles include film director, radio talk show host, car designer, public relations consultant, funeral celebrant, TV and film actor, musician, death counsellor, barman, teacher, DJ and advisor to government departments.
Tim is an avid walker, animal lover, book and art collector and naturalist. Apart from brief stints in London, Thailand and North West England, he has spent most of his life in the Yorkshire Pennines. These days he makes only rare and reluctant visits to cities.
Tim is the Treasurer of Leeds Theosophical Society.
Even science admits that it cannot see much of the physical universe it spends so much time studying. It uses amorphous and meaningless terms such as dark matter and dark energy to describe what it can neither see, understand nor explain. For millennia Theosophy has promoted a far more wide-reaching and plausible explanation of the constitution of the universe and human beings involving these subtle energies and invisible realities.|
Theosophy teaches that the physical world we inhabit is simply the densest of a number of planes of existence. And yet even from a restricted Earth-bound perspective with appropriate knowledge and experience we can still potentially access those more elevated planes of existence. Crucial to the Ageless Wisdom is the notion that answers to big questions lie not outside us but within.
